41 years old, mother of 6 ( ages 6 months, 4, 10, 13, 14, 16 Barwon head
I started training with Kate Barsby about 3 years ago, 15 months after having my 5th child. I have always maintained an active lifestyle going to the gym and participating in trail runs and maintaining my fitness through 4 pregnancies, but after my 5 th child and a move to Barwon heads I was looking to challenge myself a bit more. That’s when I discovered Kate Barsby from no excuses fitness. I was impressed with the various classes she offered that could fit in and around my children. I have tried all of them from boot camp, one on one personal training, small group advanced and larger group training and I could bring my children to all of them ( apart from early morning boot camp when they are still asleep) so there really are no excuses to incorporating fitness into your life. Kate is a mother too so she understands lifes demands. I currently attend the outdoor 915am group classes.
My children are always excited to go to “exercise” and it reflects well on them seeing their parents maintain an active lifestyle. Some of the children are masters at squats and burpees!
I was reasonably cardio fit but after training with Kate I am getting a much better full body workout. Improvint my strength was something I was looking to achieve and I am starting to see some great results. I like that the classes range from 30 to 45 minutes so I am getting a high intensity workout in a time that fits into my busy lifestyle.
